Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of tourism indicators on economic growth in North Sumatra Province during 2015–2024. The independent variables used in this study were international tourist arrivals, hotel occupancy rates, and average length of stay, while economic growth was used as a dependent variable. This study applies a quantitative approach using secondary time series data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that hotel occupancy rates had a significant influence on economic growth, while international tourist arrivals and average length of stay did not have a significant effect on partial economic growth. At the same time, tourism indicators significantly affect economic growth in North Sumatra Province.
