Abstract

This study aims to map the development of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) research on the Scopus database and identify dominant themes and potential themes for further research. The study used a qualitative descriptive approach with bibliometric analysis assisted by VOSviewer on 143 document metadata for the period 2007–2025 through co-occurrence analysis on author keywords and index keywords. The results of the study show that the publication of CLIL fluctuates and reaches its peak in 2024. The keyword clil is the most dominant theme, while english, primary education, and motivation have emerged as relatively newer themes. This finding confirms that CLIL's research already has a strong center of study while opening up opportunities for research development on issues that are still not fully discussed.
